WAYNE, NJ (November 19, 2010) – JVC Professional Products Company will host a THX® Professional Video Systems Calibration certification workshop Dec. 7-9, 2010, at its facility in Cypress, Calif. The three-day workshop includes two days of hands-on calibrating exercises, where students will work with professional calibration equipment on more than a dozen different displays, including LCD and plasma panels, DLP and LCD projectors, high-end video processors, and a variety of Blu-ray and DVD players.
Once certified, THX trained Professional Video Systems Calibrators can use the prestigious THX mark for advertising and offer THX Calibrated Display services to their customers as a premium offering. Certified calibrators also receive a “THX Calibrated” plaque and certificate, as well as an exclusive listing on the THX.com Web site. Plus, students who complete the course receive are registered to access the THX Video Calibrators’ forum, a unique online community with key industry information and a Q&A forum for support in the field.
