BTX Named North American Distributor for Avio’s iP-01UE All-in-One DLP™ Projector and Document Camera

Intelligent Projector Features Built-In 3.15-Megapixel Document Camera and Short-Throw Lens for Business Meeting Rooms and Classrooms

BTX today announced that it has been selected as a distributor for Avio’s iP-01UE all-in-one DLP™ projector and document camera. Under the agreement, BTX will promote and sell Avio’s intelligent projector to professional A/V integrators in North America.

Ideal for business meeting rooms and classrooms, Avio’s iP-01UE DLP projector features a built-in 3.15-megapixel document camera and short-throw lens. Using the document camera, objects are simply placed on the glass to project a crisp, clear image on the screen. The projector’s integrated short-throw lens enables projection onto a large screen from a short distance, up to a 60-inch diagonal screen from four feet away. This allows for more effective presentations in small meeting rooms or in classrooms where space is limited.

Standard PC and video formats can also be projected, regardless of manufacturer or operating system, while a built-in 5-W speaker allows users to listen to the associated audio. For the ultimate in convenience, users can make a presentation without interfacing with a PC. Materials can be created on a computer and stored on a USB memory device, and plugged directly into the projector. Conversely, images from the built-in document camera can be stored on a USB device and carried back to the PC.

“We look forward to providing our customers with greater access to Avio’s iP-01UE and its many benefits,” said Greg Schwartz, president of BTX Technologies. “For businesses, the projector allows for more effective information sharing and speedier business operations. At schools, it eliminates the need for teachers to change the layout of classrooms to deliver presentations from textbooks, notebooks, and other print material, which serve to make lessons more productive and engaging.”

“We are excited to partner with BTX, and have no doubt that their wealth of industry knowledge will prove to be invaluable as we penetrate the A/V market in North America,” said Rich Easley Avio’s projector product manager, North America. “BTX has a long history of bringing innovation and quality to the A/V experience, and by offering BTX’s customers a truly unique solution for business and educational applications, our iP-01UE will certainly be no exception.”

The iP-01UE includes features such as image rotation; up to 25x zoom when using the document camera and 4x zoom for PC and video modes; an on-screen pointer; image “blank out” to temporarily turn off the projector without powering off the lamp; still images; and keystone correction. A blackboard function optimizes projection on a blackboard, while an eco mode doubles lamp life and reduces power consumption.

Offering 2,500 ANSI lumens and a 1024 x 768 native resolution, the iP-01UE includes one composite and one VGA input, in addition to inputs for a scanner and USB Type B device. With direct power off, there is no need to wait for the projector to cool down after use, allowing users to start packing up the equipment immediately after the meeting or presentation.
