Firmware Leverages Recently Announced New Architecture, Enables Advanced Dual Speaker Configuration, and Provides Significant Audio Enhancements for Wireless Conference Phone
SUDBURY, Mass. -- June 11, 2013 -- Revolabs Inc. today announced the release of FLX(TM) 2.1, the latest firmware release for the company's award-winning wireless conference phone. The firmware update provides significant audio enhancements including a new advanced dual speaker configuration, leveraging heightened echo cancellation designed for larger room deployments, and features support for IEEE 802.1Q -- the networking standard for Virtual LAN's (VLAN's) support in VoIP environments -- making the Revolabs wireless conference phone an even more powerful conferencing solution for small-to-medium room requirements.
"The new firmware release takes advantage of our recently introduced advanced product architecture to bring customers an even better audio experience in slightly larger meeting spaces," said Marc Cremer, COO of Revolabs. "Following the recent adoption of Revolabs' wireless technology by a tier one infrastructure partner, we're taking the existing product to the next level with enriched audio playback capabilities to ensure that participants in every corner of the room experience the clearest call quality possible."
The FLX 2.1 firmware update allows users the option of running two speakers directly from a single FLX unit. As a result, call participants experience richer audio playback, improved room acoustics, and a fuller sound since meeting participants no longer need to increase the volume from a single speaker to fill an entire room. By placing two speakers on the table, the solution also brings more flexibility to conference room setups, ensuring that all participants hear every word.
With the release, Revolabs has also improved echo cancellation on the system to ensure optimal voice quality on conference calls. Other enhancements include improved VLAN handling, six-language multilingual capabilities, and support for backup call managers on VoIP systems. Also new is a sound clip that reminds users to return microphones and speakers to the charger tray, eliminating the problem of forgetting to charge devices after usage.
Available immediately, the FLX 2.1 upgrade installer can be downloaded directly from the Revolabs support website. Users of existing systems can also purchase a second speaker kit for their FLX solutions.
