HAWTHORNE, N.Y. — May 6, 2010 — BTX Technologies, a global value-added distributor and manufacturer of interface and integration products, today announced that Chris Mehalso, CTS, has been named as the company's new regional sales manager for Florida. In his new position, Mehalso will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing accounts as part of BTX's sales efforts in the region.
For the last six years, Mehalso has held the position of A/V account specialist at BTX. In this role he managed a client base of regional A/V integrators in addition to national corporate accounts. He was responsible for marketing to these clients as well as generating new product ideas and overseeing manufacturing projects.
Before BTX, Mehalso sold, designed, and installed audio systems throughout the New York metro area. As the owner and head technician of an electronic projects lab, he operated a private recording facility in addition to designing, installing, and supporting recording systems for private residences and commercial facilities.

Mehalso earned a B.A. in broadcast production, music technology from Ithaca College. He is CTS certified through InfoComm and a graduate of the Belden College of Wire Knowledge.
