Atlona Debuts Retail-Ready Audio/Video Connectivity Products Family

LAS VEGAS (CES) — Jan. 5, 2012 — Atlona®, a leading digital connectivity solutions provider, today announced the Atlona Home Collection, an all-new family of audio/video connectivity products and accessories designed to provide consumers with the freedom and flexibility they need to connect and enjoy their electronics. Atlona LinkCast Wireless HD Audio/Video System Atlona’s LinkCast Wireless HD Audio/Video System allows home theater enthusiasts, gamers, laptop users and more to connect multiple HDMI-based devices wirelessly to their HDTV or projector. The LinkCast Wireless HD System includes an A/V base station (AT-LINKCASTAV) and one LinkCast System Expander (AT-LINKCAST-HTX). The LinkCast A/V base station connects to the HDTV or projector’s HDMI input, while the LinkCast System Expander plugs into virtually any audio/video device with an HDMI output and standard USB connection. To further eliminate cable clutter, installation challenges and costs, the LinkCast System includes one LinkCast System Expander in the box, however, up to five devices total can be wirelessly connected to one LinkCast Wireless HD System with the purchase of additional Atlona LinkCast System Expanders, each sold separately.

The LinkCast system supports uncompressed video resolutions up to 1080p HD and 1280x1024 with a latency of less than one millisecond for truly reliable wireless HD video performance. In addition, LinkCast supports Lossy digital audio formats such as Dolby Digital® and DTS Digital Audio, as well as the WHDI 1.0 wireless home digital interface standard, and HDCP 1.2 protocols.. The LinkCast system is backed by a full three-year AtlonaAdvantage warranty.

Atlona LinkCast Wireless HD System Expander Atlona’s LinkCast Wireless HD System Expanders are sold separately, and allow consumers to wirelessly connect additional HDMI sources to their LinkCast Wireless HD System, for a total of 5 total connected devices. LinkCast System Expanders plug into virtually any audio/video device with an HDMI port and are conveniently powered via standard USB connection, eliminating the need for an additional power supply.

The LinkCast Wireless HD Audio/Video System is will be available within Q1, 2012 to consumers at an MSRP of $299.99 along with additional LinkCast Wireless HD System Expanders at $119.99 MSRP each.

Atlona LinkConnect HDMI Cable Series The Atlona LinkConnect HDMI cable series includes a complete suite of cables, adapters and other connectivity solutions designed for today’s advanced consumer electronics applications and installation needs.
