The Northbrook Chamber of Commerce has named AmpliVox Sound Systems as its Business of the Year for 2016,
in recognition of the company’s business success. Don Roth, AmpliVox’s owner CEO,
will be presented with the award at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner & Meeting
on Monday, February 22, 2016.
In business
since the 1950s, AmpliVox designs, manufactures, and markets a diverse array of
products used in public speaking, multimedia presentations, education, and public
safety. Under Roth’s leadership for the last 20 years, AmpliVox has grown into
an established industry leader with revenues exceeding $6 million. AmpliVox’s
design team anticipates new technology applications and creates furniture and
amplifiers that will work seamlessly today, and adapt for changes tomorrow. By
keeping pace with customer needs, the company’s revenue grew by 60 percent over
the last five years, compounded.
AmpliVox
also plays an active role in the community through its support of a wide
variety of non-profits, including Special Olympics Illinois, the North
Suburban YMCA, Boys
& Girls Clubs of Chicago, and the Illinois Small Business Development Center, among
others. AmpliVox has received national recognition for its Pink Podium Promise cause marketing campaign, which
donates versatile podiums and megaphones to breast cancer fundraising events
around the country.
“We are very
honored to be recognized by the Northbrook Chamber with this award,” noted
Roth. “We have deep roots in this community and have the greatest respect for
the Chamber’s members. The award validates the hard work and commitment that
all our employees deliver everyday.”
The Northbrook Chamber’s Annual Dinner & Meeting will be held from 5:00 to 8:00pm on February 22 at the Renaissance Hotel, 933 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook. In addition to the awards presentation, the event will include a keynote speech by Mark Hoppe, CEO of MB Financial. For ticket information, contact the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce at 847 498 5555.
